How to Travel In Style

Hey there everyone! Glad you are here for my first-ever blog post. I am Daniela Jacques, and you can find more details about me and Jaxodyssey in the “About Me” section on this blog. I will be using this post as a complement for my introductory YouTube video, named “How to Travel in Style.” In addition, if you haven’t subscribed to my newsletter, please do so! This will get you a VIP freebie and also qualify you for future perks. Wait, did someone say freebie? Yes! Sign up for my newsletter and I will give you an absolutely free mini magazine with tips and tricks for traveling in style.  The magazine is called “My Odyssey” and the first issue is called “How to Travel in Style.”

I wanted to start with the basics for my first publications. On my mini mag, you will find information such as how to stay organized when traveling, essential clothes, accessories, must see destinations, NYC photoshoot, what’s next, and cool quotes to inspire you through the day.

On my YouTube video you will find an intro to some of the places I visited this summer, including Vietnam, Bali, and Singapore. I have also shared some behind-the-scenes looks at the fashion shows I have attended.

Who is Daniela?

Let me share a bit about myself: I am a fashion designer working hard to create my fashion line. I’ve gathered a lot of inspiration by traveling around the world. Ever since I was little, my mom told me that there is nothing better than experiencing other places and cultures. She contributed to my passion for wandering the many different parts of the planet and meeting new and exciting people. I am based in the U.S., but I have lived in various countries and I find myself jumping into a plane quite often. That being said, I hope you join for the ride and check out not only my jetsetter adventures but also my fashion love. For more details, check out my “About Me” section.

Today’s Fashion Scene

It seems that nowadays we get bombarded with so many decade styles. Trends are going back and forth at the speed of light! Fast fashion is more present than ever, and we see the 40s, 50s, 60s, 70s, 80s, and the 90s all blended in our 2000s era. In all honesty, I don’t see this as a con but as a pro, especially because we can get inspired and create our own sense of style. I understand that for some people it can be overwhelming, but it is all about knowing who we are and what fits. Sometimes I see some crazy styles and I am all for it—other times I stay away since I’ve learned to know what suits me and what doesn’t.

The nice thing is we have multiple options to choose from, and not just for travel style! I believe that most of us are multifaceted, and we should be. You are must likely not going to wear a bomber jacket and ripped jeans to a wedding (unless it is a rocker-themed or super casual wedding). You also usually wear a nice suit jacket when interviewing for jobs, but may choose to wear athleisure during the weekends. How about if you want to go to a music festival? Do you do a flower child look? Grunge? Urban? How about when you go on trips to Thailand? If you go to temples, you will probably have to wear long sleeves and below the knee bottoms.

I am hoping to provide you with some useful travel, fashion and lifestyle tips for you to slay all day wherever you go. Please know I am also all about positive thinking and empowerment, so you will see cool quotes through my blog. Remember we are all beautiful and unique, and although I will provide tips that I have gathered through my own personal experience, you will be able to cater it to your own liking.

Peace out and see you soon on my next post. If you think any family or friends may want to join, please help us spread the word. Also don’t forget to check out my YouTube video below. For more inspiration, also visit me on other social media platforms.
